Gerald Bower was referred to me from Trish of Victim To Survivor. He had just released his second book (Manufactured Manhood, great read, I highly recommend it.) and was needed to create an online presence. We talked a few times on the phone and arranged a face to face meeting so he could go over his thoughts, he really wanted paint the picture of what he wanted.
That was a meeting that changed my life. What I came away with was a man that not only wanted to create an online presence to sell a few books (like I originally thought), but a man who wanted to change lives in the African American community through God. His beliefs touched me as it has touched anyone that has come in contact with him. I walked away feeling the pressure of having to try and capture his enthusiasm of life, his positive attitude of humanity as well as belief that through God, anything is possible.
In creating BooksThatBlessYou.com, we were able to capture his essence, his spirit and joy. There are times that while working, I open his site up just to listen to the music it plays. The colors are cooling and very trusting. It has given Gerald a place in the world to share his writings. And I am happy to say that I have also taught his to use FaceBook, Twitter and LinkedIn.
Over the years, Gerald has become more than a client, he has become a friend, someone that when times are tough, he’s there to listen and advise. Sometimes he just knows when it’s time to get in touch with me to offer a little guidance. His timing is impeccable, I could be having a little rough patch and out of the blue, there’s Gerald offering his help to get me through it. So as I said in the title, Gerald Bower is more than just an author.
